I just deployed my next major website, PythonDiary.com. It will host a large array of Python centric information, such as reviews and tutorials on the various Python packages available. Do check it out sometime, even if your interested in an alternative programming language, you may find some ideas. Enjoy! |

I am glad I bought the remake of Ocarina of Time, the contains enough new content to make it a worthwhile purchase for any Zelda fan or Nintendo 3DS fan. If you have a Nintendo 3DS like myself, I would highly recommend it, as it really shows how good 3D can look on the system and the things to come with the handheld console.
The new features include upgrade graphics, new glitches to increase the fun after beating the game, Master Quest is included, boss rush mode, and of course the hint stones. I like the hint stones feature for players new to the game, as it will help them by the parts they originally had major issues with.
Overall, if you are a Zelda fan, buy the 3DS for the game. If your a current 3DS owner and want a game to show the 3D on the console buy this game! It shows the potential of the 3DS and 3D gaming in general.
Before the 3DS I played 3D games on the PS3 using a 3DTV, and I have to say 3D gaming is much better than 3D movies. N'of said. |

I bought a Nintendo 3DS a few weeks back, and I am absolutely loving it. I bought it to play the upcoming Zelda 3D title, but now want to also play the upcoming Mario title which also looks amazing.

I recently accepted a job at Microsoft as one of their Support Operations Analysts managing their internal Exchange 2010 servers. In the coming weeks you will see a few posts which are very Microsoft related. My next post will be all about one of Microsoft's newer technologies called PowerShell. It is very much like the UNIX shell, but with a .NET twist. I very much like the new PowerShell, and see that Microsoft is heading in the right direction with it. But, it did take them a very long time to actually release the product. |

Need Web Hosting? Need a Linux Guru to help you maintain your servers? Perhaps I can be of some assistance.
Consulting Services
I finally found some time to develop a very nice website to develop
my consulting business. The website itself is running Django, and
custom apps for the website to function. One of the most amazing apps
so far is the Customer Experience System. It manages customer Contacts,
Assets and trouble tickets. Each one is connected to the other to
provide a very power database front-end.

After using a Mac for about a month now, I am beginning to really miss my Debian system and it's wonderful open source and free software available. On top of that, my software is more responsive on Debian than it is on Mac OS X. It may appear that I will be setting up Boot Camp to boot Debian as my primary operating System very soon. Using a Mac seems to remind me of one of the reasons I left the Windows world... There is no good Open Source software for these operating systems, and I really love X.org more than one could imagine. A good screen recorder for Debian, xvidcap does not work on anything but pure X.org. It will not work on Mac's Xquartz to capture a Mac Desktop. All free Screen Recorders for Mac do not support recording a single part of the screen, but rather the entire screen. I also miss KDE4's desktop, once you use the Plasma Desktop, it's really hard to go back to something so primitive as Finder or Windows Explorer.

In the next few days, I will have some new blog entries on this website with my personal experience on moving from the Linux-based Debian Operating System to Mac OS X 10.6.6. Mac OS X is a logical choice for any Linux user to move to, as it is basically just another UNIX-like system.
So far, I have been reading on Boot camp and how to dual boot Debian, but I have not did this yet. Instead, I have downloaded and installed VirtualBox from Oracle. I will be running Debian inside a Virtual Machine, and using the X11 Window Server that ships with Mac OS X to display my Graphical applications.
As I really enjoy Amarok on Debian, I installed MacPorts, which required me to install Xcode first. Xcode comes with GCC, which is great, as I need to develop and compile software for Linux on my new Mac. At the moment, it is still on the build process for qt4-mac. It is taking a very long time to compile it. I wish that there was a binary package manager for Mac OS X, much like APT on Debian. Fink is not yet supported on Mac OS X 10.6.6, or I would be using that for ports.
OpenSSH comes with Mac OS X 10.6.6, as does NANO. However, I am still trying to figure out how to mount LUKs encrypted ext3 data on my Mac. I was able to share it over a Samba share to the Mac, but this is a pain, as I plan on selling my PC laptop soon. Mounting SFTP is as simple as installing MacFUSE and MacFusion. Both of which I have yet to try out, as MacFUSE recommends a reboot.
Overall, I am rather happy with how things are progressing, and will update my blog with additional information very soon. |

The sdlBasic project has not been updated for over 2 years now, as the main developer left. The application does have some followers and popularity. I have decided to take over the project maintainer job and develop the application further. I have just brought up the main site for the sdlBasic revitalization project. |

Today I just stumbled upon this really cool website about some fun stuff you can do with your WiiMote and IR LEDs. I am very tempted on trying out these projects myself in the future.

Today I finally found some time to convert over my sweet profile site over to Python using Django. The site conversion was easier than I thought. Currently, all I need to do is convert over the web1.5 and web1.0 versions of the site for those web browsers out there which do not fully support Web 2.0 correctly.
I still need to copy over the Interests from my original site. The front-end has not changed, only the backend has been all updated to use Python and Django.
Enjoy! |
